It is with great sadness that the Kasparov Chess Foundation mourns the passing of Grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky, one of the brightest stars to emerge from our programs. Danya’s talent, creativity, and love for chess inspired everyone who knew him, from students to fellow competitors. He will be remembered not only for his brilliant play, but for his passion to share his knowledge with thousands of his followers and readers.
“The ability to work hard for days on end without losing focus is a talent,” wrote Garry Kasparov. “In honour of Danya’s life and legacy, we pledge to continue offering pathways for young players to discover their own talent — and their own love for the game that brought him so much joy,” added Kasparov.
Danya embodied this spirit throughout his career, achieving remarkable success at a young age and helping countless others discover their passion for chess. Our thoughts are with Daniel’s family and friends.
