The award was presented during the U.S. Open at a luncheon held in Middleton, WI and recognizes individuals and organizations that have demonstrated outstanding service and dedication to the promotion and advancement of chess in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This national honor reflects more than two decades of work by KCF to bring the benefits of chess to young people across the country and around the world \u2014 especially in underserved communities.
