The Kasparov Chess Foundation offers
hope to millions of US students through chess education. We're developing
a complete chess curriculum for public and private schools, from K
through 12, that delivers much more than a strong end-game to students.
Because when a child feels a sense of accomplishment, it carries through
in everything that child does. Our in-school and extra curricular
programs are designed to do exactly that - encourage creativity, instill
self-discipline and bring hope and a feeling of accomplishment to
millions of children.
The Kasparov Chess Foundation also
sponsors tournaments for those students who are attracted to the competitive
and social aspects of chess, while encouraging our youth to strive for
higher levels of intellectual achievement. And, while delivering an approved
in-the-school chess curricular is a primary focus for the Foundation,
it is just the crown to the King. Delivering invaluable enrichment programs,
such as after-school clubs, chess camps and awards programs, as well as
a gifted program for advanced students, are all part of the bigger picture
for Kasparov Chess Foundation.
